- The supervisor shall not discriminate against those they supervise. The
supervisor shall
not practice favoritism, stereotyping, or racism.
- The supervisor shall appropriately implement supervision and maintain
professional
boundaries with those they supervise. The supervisor shall not confuse supervision with
counseling, or develop inappropriate alliances or sexual relations with those they
supervise.
- The supervisor shall recognize the need for ongoing education in supervision
and
acknowledge established national standards & accepted models of supervision.
- The supervisor shall maintain and enforce ethical & legal compliance of
those they supervise.
- The supervisor shall maintain confidentiality of the personal material
processed in individual supervision sessions with counselors,
unless that information represents a violation of counselor ethical
standards.
